We go beyond entertainment by building an infrastructure that empowers minority entrepreneurs and product creators. Through our Invention-Ship initiative, we provide mentorship, visibility, and a launchpad for emerging ideas — from product showcases to integrated e-commerce within our media. Our goal is to give innovators of color the tools and audience they need to scale brilliance into sustainable business. Selected inventors will have the opportunity to feature their products directly on the BLK Owned TV platform, creating a seamless integration between storytelling and commerce—and forging powerful collaborations between content creators and product innovators.
BLK Owned TV is dedicated to amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities — with a strong focus on Black creators, people of color, and other underserved groups — through media that celebrates, educates, and activates. Our platform showcases a wide range of narratives — from film and talk shows to docuseries and creator-led content — each reflecting the richness, excellence, and vision of the global multicultural experience.
Through intentional storytelling and purpose-driven programming, we bridge gaps in representation and create space for authentic expression. At BLK Owned TV, every story is a step toward ownership, visibility, and generational impact.
Roy G. Fegan is a veteran director, writer, actor, and entertainment executive with over 30 years of success in television, film, and national advertising. A creative force behind hundreds of commercials—including Super Bowl campaigns and culturally defining spots—Roy has mastered the art of connecting brands and audiences through story. His work as an actor and producer (The Meteor Man, and The Shield) reflects a legacy of elevating Black narratives and building platforms for underrepresented voices. Now, as CEO and Founder of BLK Owned TV, Roy is leading a powerful new movement that merges purpose-driven content with commerce, mentorship, and innovation. Through BLK Owned TV & Invention-Ship, he’s expanding the mission beyond entertainment—launching a dynamic ecosystem where aspiring creators, storytellers, and inventors are mentored and given a global stage to bring their visions and products to life. The initiative will spotlight brilliant ideas through curated showcases, branded integration, and storytelling that enhances both visibility and ownership. With Roy’s rare combination of industry expertise, creative leadership, and community focus, BLK Owned TV is positioned to become a multi-platform incubator for equity, invention, and cultural elevation—inviting investors and underwriters to be part of a bold, transformative legacy.
With a distinguished 28-year career at Walmart and Sam’s Club, Cody Allison is a nationally recognized retail executive and product strategist whose leadership has driven category growth across industries—from electronics and DVD movies to consumables, toys, and music. His expertise lies in high-level merchandising, distribution systems, and the development of large-scale, in-store strategies that have shaped consumer behavior across the country. Known for executing multi-million-dollar rollouts and managing complex supply chains, Cody played a pivotal role in Walmart’s category innovation—serving as both Finance Manager and later Merchant Lead across several verticals. Now, as Chief Operating Officer of BLK Owned TV & Invention-Ship, Cody brings the product and infrastructure acumen that perfectly complements Roy G. Fegan’s entertainment expertise. Together, they are building a visionary platform that not only tells powerful stories, but also activates a product and invention ecosystem—one that mentors creators, showcases emerging ideas, and transforms brilliance into sustainable commerce. Cody’s operational mastery and passion for empowering new innovators make him an essential driver of this bold new business model.
With nearly a decade of experience in marketing, digital branding, and platform growth, Ruben Carrillo plays a pivotal role in shaping the voice and reach of BLK Owned TV & Invention-Ship. As Director of Marketing & Community Acquisition, Ruben leads integrated campaigns that drive audience engagement and strategic brand alignment—while also serving as a trusted liaison between the platform and underserved communities, particularly non-English-speaking inventors and content creators. Fluent in English and Spanish, Ruben bridges the language and access gap for aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs, helping them connect to resources, opportunity, and visibility within the BLK Owned TV ecosystem. His passion for culturally responsive storytelling and his deep understanding of creator dynamics make him instrumental in expanding our network through purpose-driven outreach and partnerships.
